TEXAS — Three previously deported illegal immigrants who are sex offenders re-entered the U.S. at the Texas border last week and were arrested by U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agents.
All illegal migrants apprehended by Border Patrol agents undergo a biometric background check that includes a criminal history search.
Over 2,240 illegal aliens have been encountered in Del Rio Sector over the past three days alone. These arrests contribute to the nearly 300% increase in apprehensions over last year. This increase is far higher than the normal seasonal fluctuations we traditionally see. pic.twitter.com/be6lYSqicf

On March 25, Uvalde Station Border Patrol agents arrested a man suspected of illegally entering the U.S. about 8 a.m., according to information obtained from Del Rio Sector Border Patrol officials.
The agents identified the man as a Mexican national, illegally present in the United States, according to a report by Breitbart.

During the records check, the agents discovered a conviction for the sexual assault of two minors in 2014, officials reported. A court had sentenced the Mexican national to 10 years in prison.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) officers deported him to Mexico in 2017.
Then less than three hours later, Carrizo Springs Station Border Patrol agents encountered a large group of migrants who illegally crossed the border into the U.S., according to Breitbart’s report.
While attempting to avoid detection, this group of 47 was apprehended in a remote area near Carrizo Springs. Great work by our agents and @CBPAMO as they remain dedicated to securing our area of operations and protecting our community. pic.twitter.com/zBJmQCK1Sx

While performing background checks on the migrants, agents discovered two men, both Mexican nationals, who had convictions in their criminal history, according to Breitbart.
A court had sentenced one of the men for sexual assault of a child in 2015 by giving him five years of probation. ERO officers deported him to Mexico that same year.

Another court sentenced the second man to two years of probation following a conviction for aggravated criminal sexual abuse in 2009, officials stated. ERO officers deported him to Mexico in 2009.
During the past two weeks, Del Rio Sector Border Patrol agents stopped seven convicted sex offenders from successfully making their way into the U.S. interior.
Our agents arrested two more sex offenders over the weekend. This makes 66 sex offenders apprehended throughout Del Rio Sector since October 1, twelve were caught in the month of February alone. pic.twitter.com/uD2XydIiZr

Del Rio Sector Chief Patrol Agent Austin L. Skero II said in a written statement:
“These three predators had convictions for aggravated criminal sexual abuse and sexual assault of minors.
“We continue to see an increase in convicted sex offenders entering the country illegally, and I credit our agents and law enforcement partners for quickly identifying them and ensuring that they do not make it into our communities.”
More than 4,300 illegal aliens were apprehended by Del Rio Sector agents over the past seven days. 2,000 have been apprehended since Friday. These arrests include single adults, families, smugglers, and aliens with extensive criminal histories. pic.twitter.com/b0Nu7tcdHu

Breitbart reported that all three Mexican nationals now face federal felony charges for illegal re-entry after removal as a deported sex offender. If convicted, each could face up to 20 years in federal prison.
In February 2021, CBP encountered more than 100,441 individuals who illegally entered along the southwest border. Del Rio Sector accounted for over 11,100 of these apprehensions, a 334% increase over February 2020. pic.twitter.com/LpJb6RZjdh

The crisis at the border has raised questions for President Joe Biden, who is feeling the pressure from politicians, media and the public to explain the massive increase of migrants coming to the U.S.
At Biden’s first press conference last week, the president downplayed perceptions that illegal immigrants were coming to the U.S. in increased numbers because he is a “nice guy.”
PBS explains away border crisis as a positive – caused because so many migrants simply trust Biden as a kind, generous, and noble leader who will take care of their kids.

Biden also shifted blame on Mexico for refusing to take back immigrant families. He told White House correspondent Yamiche Alcindor:
“Mexico is refusing to take them back. They’re saying they won’t take them back.”

However, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador previously blamed Biden for the ongoing crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border, saying his public statements have encouraged Central Americans, who view him as a “migrant president,” to cross into the U.S.

Lopez Obrador, a left-wing president, said at a recent press conference:
“Expectations were created that with the government of President Biden there would be a better treatment of migrants, and this has caused Central American migrants, and also from our country, wanting to cross the border, thinking that it is easier to do so.”
Reuters reports (https://t.co/mR64L7Eyja) Mexican leaders, including left-wing president Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, fear the Biden administration is stoking illegal immigration and creating business for organized crime.

During a 2019 debate that was moderated by Univision’s Jorge Ramos, Biden encouraged migrants to come, saying:
“You should come.
“They deserve to be heard. That’s who we are. We’re a nation that says, ‘You want to flee, and you’re fleeing oppression, you should come.’”
Remember when Biden said he’d “immediately surge” asylum seekers to the border and said “you should come” during the debates?
But yeah, I’m sure this crisis was all Trump’s fault. pic.twitter.com/GxBEzufurs

While some news outlets have focused on Biden recently telling illegal immigrants, “Don’t come over,” it turns out the president is actually seeking to make the asylum process much easier for them.

Biden recently told ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos during an interview:
“Yes. I can say quite clearly don’t come over. And the process of getting set up, and it’s not gonna take a whole long time, is to be able to apply for asylum in place. So don’t leave your town or city or community.
Here, help yourself. https://t.co/HtB6Y2Gqh9

“We’re gonna make sure we have facilities in those cities and towns run by department of — by DHS and also access with HHS, the Health and Human Services, to say you can apply for asylum from where you are right now.
“Make your case. We’ll have people there to determine whether or not you are able to meet the requirement you qualify for asylum. That’s the best way to do this.
“In addition to that, while we also change the circumstances on the ground in those communities, you’re gonna diminish the reason why people want to leave in the first place.”
The crisis is the direct result of Biden’s policies as ABC’s reporting shows.
-Brought back catch & release
-Halted construction of the wall
-Ended the Remain in Mexico policy

In January, Biden used an executive order to end former President Trump’s Migrant Protection Protocols, which kept those who tried to enter the U.S. illegally in camps in Mexico while they awaited hearings.

Biden then returned to a “catch-and-release” policy in which illegal aliens are allowed to enter the U.S. Now, so many migrants are coming that many are being released in the U.S. without any scheduled hearings, according to a report by Just the News.
