POLL: Majority Of U.S Voters Say Biden Is “Puppet Of The Radical Left”

Americans who follow politics closely know that our country has taken a distinct turn away from former President Donald Trump’s conservative vision of “America First.”

They have watched President Joe Biden throughout his first month in office impose a left-wing agenda on the country via executive fiat, and while many of his orders have yet to fully mature, some have had an immediate impact.

For instance, his orders canceling the Keystone XL pipeline and halting oil and gas exploration on federal lands, as well as fracking, led to the loss of thousands of jobs overnight and, over the past couple of weeks, a dramatic spike in the cost per gallon of gas.

Others involve the reversal of Trump’s tough border enforcement policies including ending the construction of the wall border agents have regularly said aided in curbing both illegal immigration and drug smuggling.

Policies on new ‘wokeness’ in public and government policy followed, leading a majority of U.S. voters to conclude that Biden isn’t the ‘moderate’ he used to be, if he ever really was; now, he’s just a figurehead for the radical left, according to a just-released survey by Rasmussen Reports.

Breitbart News has more:

The survey, taken February 16-17, 2021, among 1,000 likely U.S. voters, asked respondents if they agreed or disagreed with the following statement: “Joe Biden’s not the moderate nice guy that they made him out to be. He’s a puppet of the radical left.”

Fifty-four percent of voters agreed with the statement, 40 percent disagreed, and six percent indicated they remain unsure. The opinions are sharply divided on party lines, as the overwhelming majority of Republicans, 82 percent, agree with the statement, compared to 27 percent of Democrats who felt the same. Sixty-eight percent of Democrats disagree with the sentiment that Biden is a “puppet” of the radical left. Fifty-four percent of those unaffiliated with either party agree with a majority of Republicans.

‘Puppet of the radical left’ was used by Donald Trump Jr. to describe Biden in an interview about his new book, “Liberal Privilege: Joe Biden And The Democrats’ Defense Of The Indefensible,” with the Washington Examiner’s “Secrets” column published this week.

“We’re more popular with the base now than we were on Election Day, I think because they realize how bad it is. They realize the tech censorship, which we talked about extensively. They realize that the lies that the media sold them … They realize that they have been played. They realize that they’ve been sold in a bill of goods that was nonsense. Joe Biden’s not the moderate nice guy that they made him out to be. He’s a puppet of the radical Left, and he’s their dream guy because they’ll sign whatever they put in front of them, and he doesn’t know the difference,” Don Jr. said.

The former president’s eldest son went on to say that Washington’s Beltway Republican establishment isn’t the future of the party, it’s his dad’s path — and he intends to help lead the way forward.

“There is a shortage of conservatives out there who are willing to say what everyone in the conservative movement feels and believes. They’re afraid,” Don Jr. noted.

“They’re worried about being canceled. They care more about what some liberal at some D.C. quote-unquote ‘think tank’ thinks about them than they do the guy who just lost his job and won’t be able to feed his family next week. I couldn’t care less. I couldn’t care less what those people think. I care about the hard-working men and women. That’s what we made our campaign on. That’s what we’re going to do.”

As for the Rasmussen survey, a plurality of voters — 49 percent — said the Democratic Party’s far-left faction has “too much influence” on Biden, with the vast majority of Republicans agreeing with that statement.

But 50 percent of unaffiliated voters said the same thing.
