According to a disturbing new report, the Biden administration could extend the presence of the National Guard in the nation’s capital through at least this fall.
Washington D.C. Fox affiliate WTTG-5 reports Biden’s National Security Council has requested that the Defense Department coordinate with the Capitol police on extending the military presence that has drawn comparisons to a banana republic.
The report cites an internal email obtained by the station involving a meeting to be held this week between agencies to discuss the extension of the troops’ presence.
Following the January 6th protests for election integrity that resulted in a brief occupation of the U.S. Capitol building by Trump supporters mixed with leftist provocateurs, the Guard was called up to defend Biden’s inauguration but was then ordered to extend their stay through the Democrats’ sham impeachment.
Now that the impeachment is done, another excuse to keep the seat of the one-party government of the “shining city on the hill” ringed by razor wire and protected by uniformed soldiers will be found.
National Guard could stay in DC until the Fall
This is all optical.

Robert Salesses who began Performing the Duties of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Homeland Defense and Global Security on January 20, 202, wrote in the e-mail:
“If it’s not possible to sustain at the current level with NG personnel, we need to establish the number of NG personnel (DCNG and out-of-state) we can sustain for an extended period – at least through Fall 2021 – and understand additional options for providing DoD support, to include use of reserve personnel, as well as active component.”
FOX 5 reached out to D.C. National Guard for further comment and received the following statement:
“The National Guard is conducting prudent planning for the eventual end of the security mission and the return of its Soldiers and Airmen to their home stations.”
The current occupation of Washington is as unprecedented as it is costly.
According to Stars & Stripes:
“The cost of having National Guard troops protect the area around the U.S. Capitol will cost nearly $500 million, the Pentagon’s chief spokesman said Monday.
Pentagon officials estimate the Guard mission in Washington through March 15 supporting federal agencies protecting the Capitol building will cost $483 million, John Kirby told reporters.
Of that, $284 million will cover personnel costs and $199 million will cover operations costs, Kirby said. The Army National Guard’s personnel costs are projected to be $256 million and $165 million for operations. For the Air National Guard, the estimate is $28 million will be spent for personnel costs and $34 million for operational costs.”
That price will rise the longer that Biden keeps the troops in D.C. but hey, it’s only taxpayer money.
The optics of such an abnormal military presence only serves to reinforce the perception held by millions of Americans that the election was illegitimate and that Biden was installed into the White House by powerful Deep State forces. Given the way that he is governing, they have a good reason for suspicion.
Now that an atmosphere of paranoia has descended over the swamp like a thick fog, America’s adversaries are laughing at the peculiar version of “democracy” that is now being imposed on the former land of the free and home of the brave.
