Carelessness Will Make It Difficult To Break Covid Chain, Says Dr Harsh Vardhan In Healthgiri Awards

during the Healthgiri Awards 2020, India Today honoured the Covid-19 warriors who have risked their lives to fight the pandemic. Healthgiri Awards 2020 is the reincarnated version of India Today Safaigiri Awards, held annually on Gandhi Jayanti.

Speaking on the occasion, Health Minister Harsh Vardhan emphasised that a mask works as the biggest protector against the coronavirus and one must always remember to wear it in public.

Harsh Vardhan also said that a significant number of people have lately been careless in following the coronavirus guidelines at a time when businesses in the country have started opening up in stages. "We are at a stage where we are opening up in different phases of Unlock and at this time, we have been seeing a significant number of people who are careless in following the government guidelines," Harsh Vardhan said.

"Mask is our biggest protector. But one must also remember to maintain ‘2 gaj doori [2 feet distance]’, wash hands and sanitisation to keep coronavirus at bay," Harsh Vardhan said. Watch full bulletin.
