Liberals will dramatically and unapologetically demand tolerance and acceptance of personal views … but only if you agree with theirs. The irony is fascinating.
On Sunday, a pro-life staffer with Students for Life of America Action was struck by an alleged feminist outside the Supreme Court. The assault happened while Autumn Schimmer was trying to explain to pro-choice advocates how feminism does not need an abortion. In a statement released by Students for Life of America, Schimmer explained what happened:
“I was approached by a pro-choice woman who wanted to have a conversation about what feminism means to me. I told her that women are not empowered when they kill their own children, and we need to do better. After that, she was getting more aggressive. I took a step back to return to my group. She approached me and punched me in the face and ripped off my face mask. This is very upsetting. Being attacked by a pro-choicer just shows that the violence of abortion breeds a culture of violence and normalizes it.”
A video shows Schimmer telling Breitbart News about the assault (seen at approx. 1:02:00 marker)
The protest was in response to the nomination of Judge Amy Cony Barrett to the United States Supreme Court, filling the vacancy of the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Ginsburg was an anchor for the liberal bloc of The Court. The appointment of a conservative justice will certainly cause a dramatic shift in the jurisprudential. philosophy of the Supreme Court.
Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life of America commemorated the appointment, calling it “fitting” for its timing:
“On the 100th anniversary of women’s right to vote found in the 19th Amendment, Judge Barrett’s nomination to the Supreme Court is a fitting tribute to how far we as women have come, This is the opportunity of a lifetime that will determine millions of lifetimes. It’s go time, Pro-Life Generation: Get ready for a Post-Roe America.”
