Rob Reiner insists the debate over Ginsburg’s SCOTUS seat should be considered a ‘war’
Far-left Hollywood director Rob Reiner has called on Democrats to use “powerful weapons” against Republicans in the heated debate over the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s Supreme Court seat.
Reiner, a frequent and vocal anti-Trump critic, insists that the situation must be considered a “war” between the Democratic Party and the GOP.
Ruth Bader Ginsburg died on Friday evening at 87-years-old from complications surrounding metastatic pancreatic cancer.
“Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s body isn’t even cold and Mitch McConnell is dancing on her grave,” Reiner falsey claimed.
“This is war. Dems have powerful weapons. Now is the time to use them.”
The death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s almost immediately triggered a heated debate over her seat
Conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt responded to Reiner, writing: “It isn’t war.
“Dems have no weapons.
“[Mitch McConnell] issued a very respectful statement about the passing of a great American.
“Other than that Rob, you got it right.”

Reiner’s comments come after some leftists threatened riots in response to any attempt by the GOP to fill the SCOTUS vacancy before the election, which Republicans have every constitutional right to do.
Former CNN host Reza Aslan responded by writing: “If they even TRY to replace RBG we burn the entire f***ing thing down.”
Aslan later responded to Sen. McConnell’s announcement that Republicans would fill the seat by stating: “Over our dead bodies. Literally.”
A Trump-appointed SCOTUS pick for Ginsburg’s seat would throw a wrench in the works of the Democrats’ election plans
Political writer Laura Bassett echoed a similar sentiment.
However, she stopped short of making a threat, writing: “If McConnell jams someone through, which he will, there will be riots. … *more, bigger riots.”
Writer Beau Willimon wrote: “We’re shutting this country down if Trump and McConnell try to ram through an appointment before the election.”
Canadian Professor Emmett Macfarlane wrote on Twitter: “Burn Congress down before letting Trump try to appoint anyone to SCOTUS.”

If you were a young woman in his class who was a Trump supporter, would you risk being a target of his violent rage if he found out about you? Canadian attorney Ezra Levant slammed Macfarlane’s tweet, writing: “Macfarlane is a professor at @UWaterloo, promoting violence against his political enemies.
“If you were a young woman in his class who was a Trump supporter, would you risk being a target of his violent rage if he found out about you?
“Should you transfer to a different class?”
