‘Tucker Carlson Tonight’ Exclusive: Jeff Zucker, Michael Cohen Reportedly Recorded Discussing Potential CNN Show For Trump

Tucker Carlson got his hands on some tapes recording the conversations between Michael Cohen and Jeffrey Zucker. But, what I want to know is where did they come from.

But my guess is from Michael Cohen, either directly or indirectly. In those tapes, Zucker floated the idea of giving Trump a television show.  In CNN? Nah.

The conversation is allegedly from March of 2016, but that is not confirmed. Zucker told Cohen that you can’t win a presidential election without CNN. But obviously you can as Trump did.

Carlson said:

“On March 10, 2016, that was the day of the final Republican primary debate, Cohen called Jeff Zucker on his cell phone. CNN was hosting the debate that night in Miami, and Cohen, who was working for Donald Trump at the time, wanted to check in about it. Zucker almost immediately started bragging about himself, as he is wont to do.”

“After a few pro forma words about their families, Zucker launched into an extended lecture about about his own importance. ‘Here’s the thing,’ Zucker announced to Cohen, ‘you cannot be elected president of the United States without CNN. Fox and MSNBC are irrelevant — irrelevant — in electing a general election candidate.’”

Zucker told Cohen that he thought the campaign “had great instincts, great guts and great understanding of everything, but you’re missing the boat on how it works going forward.”

Cohen suggested that he email Trump with his suggestions but Zucker balked at the idea. But he did say he would call Trump and wish him luck in the debate.

He believed at the time that Trump would be the easiest person for Clinton to defeat but he turned out to be the only one that could win.

Zucker told Cohen:

“It’s not that I don’t want to talk to [Trump] every day. I’ve just got to be careful, because, I’ve just got to be careful. I just don’t want him talking about it on the campaign trail. But you know what? I’m going to give him a call right now and I’m going wish him luck in the debate tonight … I have all these proposals for him. Like, I want to do a weekly show with him, and all this stuff.”

“You know what you should do? Whoever’s around him today should just be calling him a conman all day, so he’s used to it, so that when he hears it from Rubio, it doesn’t matter. ‘Hey, conman. Hey, conman. Hey conman.’ He thinks that’s his name, right?”

Carlson went on to disparage Zucker and accuse him of wanting to be in the proximity of power no matter who has to crawl into bed with, No wonder he is friends with Michael Cohen. They have that in common.

It has to be one or the other who recorded the conversation. But, I doubt that Zucker would have and if he did, allow it to become public.

Therefore it had to be Cohen in my opinion. The only question is, who did it come from. It is far more likely that someone who had access to the original, made a copy and sent it to Carlson.

I do find it to be hilarious that Zucker believed that CNN had the power to decide who would be president. Just the other day I was watching the Comedy Channel.

Then I realized it wasn’t the Comedy Channel, it was CNN. I was fooled by the way they made me laugh but with a few tears thrown in for good measure. It becomes hard to laugh when you see people who want to destroy the country that I love.
