Amid rising coronavirus casesin India, the PM Modi-led centre announced the lockdown in March this year. The lockdown continued for nearly 3 months which hampered education sector. However, schools and colleges found a way and started online classes. Lakhs of students, who are poor and cannot afford smartphones or laptops or computers, were left behind. One of them was Mandhir and his brother of Delhi. Mandhir and his younger brother were not able to study for at least a month just because his father could not afford a smartphone. Mandhir’s class teacher found a way to help him. He contacted Ankit Gupta via Twitter and has been involved in relief work since day one of lockdown and continue to help underprivileged families. On being asked, Ankit gave Mandhir a smartphone which is now helping him in his studies. Watch full bulletin.
