Workers cleared roads and buildings, Wednesday, August 26, in Afghanistan after heavy flooding killed at least 70 people and injured dozens more.
A spokesperson for the northern Parwan province said the number of casualties may rise as teams are working to locate people buried in the wreckage of homes.
Heavy overnight rains in the central part of the province triggered the floods.
At least 300 homes were destroyed in Parwan and over a thousand people have been displaced, according to a spokesman of the Disaster Management Ministry. (AP)
