Surat cop Sunita Yadav, also known as Gujarat’s ‘Lady Singham’, discloses to India Today’s Rahul Kanwal the events that led her to stop the minister’s son for flouting norms. Ms. Yadav said that she was shunned for doing her job. She added that she did not resign because she was afraid but rather she didn’t receive any help from her seniors. Ms. Yadav added that she aspires to become an IAS officer.
Sunita Yadav resigned after she was threatened for stopping a state minister’s son and his friends for violating night curfew regulations and not wearing masks at the check point where she was deployed.
A clip of their heated argument surfaced on social media in which Gujarat Health Minister Kumar Kanani’s son Prakash can be heard arguing with the cop Sunita Yadav and brazenly threatening her.
