Desert locusts are threatening to cut off Kenya’s food supply if not controlled quickly.
Teams are going to Kenya’s remote corners to attempt to control the locust infestation before the locusts learn to fly.
If the insects learn to fly, they will travel distances of 200 kilometers a day, eating everything green they encounter along the way.
Additionally, once matured, the locusts will lay eggs that will spawn a new, bigger generation of locusts. (AP)
