McConnell: Senate Will Vote On Trillions In Conronavirus Relief On Monday
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell told reporters at the capitol Sunday afternoon that despite Democratic opposition, the Senate will proceed with voting on a $1-2 trillion economic stimulus package to help workers and businesses endure several weeks of “social distancing” to combat the coronavirus pandemic.
“We’re at a point in the discussion where people will shortly have to say yes or no and I’m confident given the desire of the country to see an outcome that we’ll get to yes,” he said.
Make no mistake about it, we’ll be voting tomorrow. I mean the wheel has to stop at some point,” he said.
