The prime minister, Boris Johnson, on Friday said at his first cabinet meeting since the government reshuffle that he was ready to ‘deliver for the people’. The former chancellor, Sajid Javid, resigned amid the reshuffle as Johnson pushed him to sack his advisers to stay in government. Javid was replaced by his former deputy, Rishi Sunak
