Trump Calls Nadler a ‘Sleazebag,’ Says Bolton as Witness Is National Security Problem

President Trump slammed the House impeachment managers Jerry Nadler and Adam Schiff as “sleazebags” during a press conference at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland on Wednesday. Trump was asked by Fox News White House reporter John Roberts about the heated argument Tuesday evening between White House counsels Jay Sekulow and Pat Cipollone and impeachment manager Rep. Jerry Nadler.

Nadler accused any Republican senator who votes to block evidence or witnesses of being “complicit” in a “cover-up.”

In response, Trump’s defense team fired back, leading the presiding Chief Justice John Roberts to admonish both sides.

“First of all, Jerrold Nadler, I’ve known him a long time, he’s a sleazebag. Everybody knows that,” the president said the next morning. “I have known Jerry Nadler for a long time. He has opposed many of my jobs. I got them all built very successfully built in New York. But, so we have yet another fight. Isn’t it amazing? Isn’t it surprising? Isn’t it amazing?”

“I watched the lies from Adam Schiff,” he continued. “He’s a liar and he’s a fraud.”

“These are major sleazebags, Trump said. “It’s a total hoax. It’s a disgrace. They talked about their tremendous case and it’s all done.”
