Massive purchase deal signed, more tariffs conflict to be eased

U.S and Chinese leaders signed the 86-page document at the White House in front of over 200 invited guests from business, government and diplomatic circles.

China agreed to purchase an additional 200 billion U.S. dollars’ worth of U.S. goods over two years, all compared to a 2017 baseline of U.S. exports to China, to cut a bilateral U.S. trade deficit that peaked at 420 billion U.S. dollars in 2018.
