The Point: Liu Xin interviews Hong Kong police officers injured by protesters

In over the course of the last six months, the police have been as much a part of the Hong Kong story as the protesters themselves. Many officers have suffered violence at the hands of some radical protesters, causing injury and emotional distress to both themselves and their families. A total of some 500 police officers have been injured and for some of them, the wounds will never heal. Liu Xin recently took a trip to Hong Kong where she talked to two policemen who were injured. She also discussed the impact on the extended family with one of the officers’ wives. Guest: Einar Tangen, a current affairs commentator.

Because of the potential harm they could face, all interviewees you will see in this episode are not using their real names and have chosen not to show their faces on camera.
