Kanye West Preaches on Cultural Shift: “Jesus has Won the Victory” [VIDEO]

Throw your hands in the air and wave them like you just don’t care if you still can’t get used to the words Kanye West Preaches. It’s the most surprising thing we say in 2019 next to Epstein Didn’t Kill Himself. Yet Kanye seems to have really gotten woke in the truest sense of the word (see Kanye West Sings “Jesus Walks” with James Cordon, Shares More About his Faith and Kanye West Shares Frustration Over ‘White Liberals’ Telling Black People How to Vote [Video]). For someone whose sincerity is regularly questioned, Ye is still going all in.

“It’s like the devil stole all the good producers, all the good musicians, all the good artists, all the good designers, all the good business people and said, “you gotta come over and work for me.” And now the trend, the shift, is going to change. Jesus has won the victory.”

“Now the greatest artist God ever created is now working for him.”

If your eyes rolled at that last sentence, a) so did mine when I first read it, b) he joked in his sermon about his notorious arrogance and the line was delivered tongue-in-cheek. That’s the context that’s been omitted in most articles about Kanye at Joel’s place.

Now that I’m over my initial cynicism of Kanye’s conversion, I’m legit curious over where this goes. Because Ye is the highest-profile celebrity in a really long time to openly profess his Christian faith. Will he inspire others to open their hearts? Could this lead to an actual cultural shift? Will “Jesus” just become the latest Kardashian related trend that alleged influencers post about for Instagram likes? Agnostic minds want to know.

For now, I’m happy just enjoying how heartwarming it is to see the effect he’s having on people. Plus all those awkward smiles from Joel Olsteen.
