Defending champions Manchester City are back to their winning ways after defeating Crystal Palace 2-nil at Selhurst Park.
The Sky Blues came into the match on the back of a surprise defeat by Wolverhamton and had to wait until the 39th minute for Brazil striker Gabriel Jesus to open the scoring with a diving header.
Around two minutes later, David Silva doubled the lead for Man City with a world-class volley from close range.
With the victory, City temporarily closed the gap to five points on table toppers Liverpool, who will travel to Old Trafford on Sunday to play against bitter rivals Manchester United.
