Israeli forces used live fire against Palestinians taking part in the 77th weekly Friday demonstration in the besieged Gaza Strip.
The rally in the east of the enclave was attended by thousands of Palestinians who had gathered to denounce the Israeli occupation and demand the right of return to their homeland.
Known as the Great March of Return, the weekly protests have been ongoing since late March 2018.
Israeli forces have shot and killed hundreds of protesters and injured thousands more during the rallies so far.
Palestinians consider the weekly rallies as a crucial part of their resistance campaign against the Israeli occupation.
The deadliest day of the peaceful rallies was on May 14th 2018 when the US embassy was relocated from Tel-Aviv to Jerusalem al-Quds. On that day alone Israeli snipers shot and killed some seventy protesters.
Israel’s heavy-handed crackdown on protesters in Gaza drew widespread condemnation from human rights organizations around the world.
After eighteen months of protesting against the Israeli regime, people here say their peaceful rallies will continue until their demands are met.
