Former Federal Bureau of Investigation Director James Comey broke agency policies in handling memos related to his conversations with President Donald Trump, a Justice Department watchdog said on Thursday. The Justice Department’s inspector general says in the report that it referred its findings to the department, but the agency declined to bring a case. Comey broke FBI policy by keeping four memos in a personal safe in his home, the report said, among other findings. Responding on Twitter, Comey quoted a line from the report that said there was no evidence he or his attorneys released classified information to members of the media.
