CNN’s April Ryan: Trump Wanting to Nuke Hurricanes is Racist

Donald Trump has been, allegedly, asking others why we can’t just drop a nuke in a hurricane. Was he joking? Looking to find out who leaks to the press? Was he stone-cold serious? It’s Trump. Who the hell knows. Quite frankly, I’m too scared to even ask. But for the most part, people had fun for with it. Many a Sharknado joke was made. The memes brought us laughter. Except for CNN’s April Ryan (see CNN Analyst Questions Trump’s ‘Legitimacy’ as President. Sarah Sanders Shuts Her Down. and Sarah Sanders Personally Serves Pie to a Skeptical Reporter…). Trump’s suggestion of dropping a nuke in a hurricane  was — wait for it — raaaaaacist. Something about Africa. (h/t Newsbusters)

We’re tongue and cheeking this, but this is the President of the United States saying something about that. And he brought in Africa. As Angela…as we were talking during break, he’s called Africa a shit hole nation. It’s actually a country. Africa is a continent. And what part of Africa are you talking about? Sub-Saharan Africa, where there are mostly black people? This is just crazy. There is a ripple effect that could happen for land, sea, for people, if he did something like this. For this man to think this. This is the leader of the free world.

Let’s follow the logic here. You are a liberal. You think Donald Trump is dumb enough to think we can stop a hurricane by nuking it. But is somehow diabolical enough to hatch a scheme that would allow him to nuke Africa. Just because you think he hates black people that much.

It’s less exhausting to think Trump thought Sharknado was a documentary.

This isn’t so much a racist thing as it is a stupid thing. We’d all be better off recognizing the hurricane nuke plan for what it is, not what it isn’t. Which I grant you is difficult when the whole plan is nuking a weather system. Fair.

Though, Trumpnado would be an awesome movie. Starring Dean Cain, Kristy Swanson, and Daniel Cormier.
