Shares of 1-800-Flowers.com Inc.
sank 11.6% in Thursday trading after the retailer reported a fiscal fourth-quarter loss. The company had a net loss of $8.3 million, or 13 cents per share, after a loss of $8.2 million, or 13 cents per share, the previous year. Revenue of $259.4 million was up from $229.9 last year. The FactSet consensus was for a 14-cent loss and sales of $259.0 million. For fiscal 2020, 1-800-Flowers is forecasting revenue growth of 8% to 9%. The FactSet guidance is for revenue of $1.32 billion, which implies about 5.7% growth from the previous year. 1-800-Flowers stock is up 40% for the year to date while the S&P 500 index
is up 16.5% for the period.
